Lake Titicaca is located high in the mountains, on the border of Bolivia and Peru. On the lake float islands of reed on which small villages have been built. The lake overflows several times a year, causing the small islands to drift to the Salar de Uyuni, one of the largest salt flats in the world.
In the middle of this salt flat is a small island full of cacti. This is where the salt resists. Traditionally, the inhabitants of the floating villages use this to make wonderfully scented and warming bundles.
